Oil4kids.comIndependent AMSOIL Dealer Long Island If you want to buy AMSOIL products, visit the AMSOIL Online Store. AMSOIL Synthetic PC Series Compressor Oils are made from high quality, shear stable synthetic base oils. The PC Series oils provide long compressor life through reduced component wear, corrosion protection, water resistance and lubricant breakdown resistance. The PC Series reduces maintenance costs by extending drain intervals and lowering labor and used product disposal requirements. AMSOIL Synthetic Base Oil TechnologyAMSOILs proprietary combination of unique synthetic base oils combines the advantages of esters and polyalphaolefins (PAOs) into one balanced product. The naturally high viscosity indecies, low pour points, low volatility, and excellent thermal stability make the PC Series good for use in a wide operating temperature range. These oils prevent carbon build up, provide clean performance, and exhibit low frictional characteristics. These attributes increase operational efficiency and have demonstrated reduced energy consumption and operating temperatures. A Complete Additive System for Top PerformanceThe PC Series is fortified with additives designed for compressor applications. The ashless/non-detergent anti-wear additives prevent deposits and keep components in like-new condition which reduces the need for frequent repairs or rebuilds. The anti-foam agents stop unwanted foaming and air entrapment; the corrosion inhibitors protect internal parts against rust and corrosion from water or process contaminants; and the oxidation inhibitors increase lubricant life by preventing carbon formation and lubricant degradation. Stable in the Presence of WaterAMSOIL synthetic lubricants exhibit very good hydrolytic stability and they readily separate from water. This prevents unwanted oil/water emulsions that inhibit an oils ability to lubricate, allows for longer lubricant life, and means water can easily be drained from the sump, reducing the need for specialized process water disposal. Long Lubricant LifeAMSOIL Compressor Oils maintain their integrity in the presence of mechanical activity and heat. These features combined with a durable additive system allow the PC Series to operate up to 8,000+ hours for most applications. This is subject to operating conditions and maintenance practices. Monitoring by oil analysis is recommended. Safety AdvantageAMSOIL PC Series have higher flash, fire and auto-ignition points than competitive petroleum oils. Also, their resistance to carbon formation and the ashless additive system minimize the incidence of deposits acting as ignition-promoting hot spots. Although AMSOIL PC Series Oils increase fire safety, they cannot be considered non-flammable. PERFORMANCE FEATURES
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONAMSOIL PC Series Oils are recommended for use in single and multi-stage rotary screw, vane, and reciprocating compressor crankcases and cylinders, vacuum pumps and other compressor applications. Recommended operating temperatures are +20°F above the pour point and up to 275°F discharge temperature. Where the discharge temperature exceeds 275°F, AMSOIL recommends the DC Series Compressor Oils. As discharge temperatures become elevated (above 220°F), lubricant life expectancy is affected. Monitor with oil analysis. These oils can also be used in light duty gear and bearing applications, blowers, pumps, pneumatic tools and hydraulic or circulating systems. Consult the manufacturer for viscosity recommendations. PC Series Oils are compatible with petroleum oils, most synthetic oils*, and almost all seals, paints and materials commonly used in compressors. It is suggested that the compressor be thoroughly drained and cleaned, if warranted, and the filter be changed prior to filling with the PC Series lubricant. If an appreciable amount of carbon deposit or residue is found on the internal compressor parts, follow the manufacturers recommendations for removal prior to installing the new oil. AMSOIL PRODUCT WARRANTYAMSOIL Industrial Lubricants are formulated to meet or exceed accepted industry specifications. AMSOIL warrants that the use of its lubricants will not cause mechanical damage to any mechanically sound equipment when AMSOIL products are used in full compliance with the companys recommendations. However, the purchaser of these lubricants is responsible for determining if these specifications are adequate and proper for the intended application. The AMSOIL warranty is limited to lubricant performance consistent with indicated specifications. No additional warranty, expressed or implied, can be made. AMSOIL PRODUCT AVAILABILITYAMSOIL products are available in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon totes and bulk quantities. For 275-gallon totes, please allow two to four weeks for delivery.
